MEDIUM DISTANCE - 77 KM// 1,713 climb




ABOUT  


The Medium Distance is a none-competitive. It is going to be fully timed to all participants but there will no be a podium cerenmoney or prizes. 

 The race starts at the same location as the Long Distance route,  at the Jerusalem Sports Center area, between Teddy Stadium and the Jerusalem Arena. From there it will continue towards; Jerusalem down town, the Old City walls, The Kenesset, The Israel Museum, Jerusalem forest, exit the city from Ein Karem towards the Judea hills along one of israel's most scenic roads (386) all the way to Mahasia junction and from there a challenging climb back to Nes-Harim. Form here on-wards  it's downhill to Karem Junction and into Israel's longest 2.1km cycling tunnel to the finish line. 

The short distance route will also be able to admire some of the same amazing historic landmarks as the long route while only riding a total distance of 77km and total elevation gain of 1,713 meters (5,618 ft.). The finish will be at the Israel Aquarium where the long distance finish is as well so everyone can celebrate together. The medium distance route is a great option for first time endurance riders or if you’re just starting out in GFNY cycling events, or if you simply want to enjoy the ride at a level your feel comfortable with.
